 Learn the alphabet with Animals ABC! This app is designed by experienced English language teachers of young and very young learners with coordination with their young students. The students with the guidance of their teacher picked the animals, the pictures and 'gave voice' to the letters.

This app is unique and helps our young student to actually learn how to combine the alphabet letters to create meaningful words. This stage is very important to the very first steps of learning on how to write. What is more, it helps students to develop their vocabulary awareness from an early age. It gives to students a great deal of interactivity and it offers a great sense of achievement whilst students are congratulated in each correct letter they find and then when they complete the whole word.

ABC Phonics Word Family - Free

ABC Phonics Word Family is an i-friendly application which provides the phonics spelling, beginning sound, word family phonics, short vowel sound , and images with animations and interactions for each word. There are a total ten word family groups which focus on the short vowel  family phonics learning. After kids complete spelling in each group, the matching game follows and kids can review what they learned.

The game uses the Montessori Method for children to learn phonics and spelling. It develops the kids learning, spelling, hearing, pronounciation of the words.

Fairy Tail Puppet Theatre for Kids

Fairy Tail Puppet Theatre for Kids  is free iPad and iPhone application where you can perform your own puppet theater. The background can be changed and all the characters can be moved. Unfortunately, the free version  allows only two characters to be moved and you have to give 1.59 E to unlock all the characters. It is great for some role-playing and story-telling activities with young learners.

Alphabet Zoo: Learn the alphabet and it's sounds

Alphabet Zoo is a simple and awesome application which teaches kids to recognize the letters and the sounds of the alphabet. It works with iphone and ipad and it is free. It's ideal for kindergarden kids and young leaners.

Alphabet Zoo is designed and reviewed by educators to teach children letter - sound association, an essential skill for learning to read. More importantly, kids have fun with the animals and the creative sounds without they are even realizing they're learning.

Teach ABC with a magnetic alphabet

  Magnetic Alphabet is a great tool for everyone. It aids in teaching preschoolers their alphabets/numbers, a learning tool in teaching one how to spell or sending messages to friends and family! The characters on the app are rendered beautifully and provided with nominal sound effects! Magnetic Alphabet is recommended for kids of all ages, especially to those parents with kids who are just beginning to learn their alphabet and numbers. At the free version, there are all the letters of the  alphabet available but numbers and some other sticker characters can be purchased for 1,59E. However, I did not need the numbers with my student and only worked with the letters.
